A Scare for the 10%

TODAY was scary ya'll...

At about 7 o'clock this morning, I noticed I was bleeding...three hours later and it hadn't stopped. I was one freaked out momma. As much as this was an unplanned pregnancy, I love this little sea-monkey so much already.

I called my doctor and told him what was going on. He told me to come in right away.

I was so nervous and it seemed like we just sat in the doctor's office FOREVER.

Once they took me back for the ultrasound I was insanely relieved to hear that the baby was doing great. His/her heartbeat was still going strong. I had an exam as well to make sure I wasn't miscarrying.

The doctor told me was that I was bleeding from the placenta attaching itself to my uterine wall. The bleeding happens in 10% of pregnant women. Of course I am in that 10%. I should expect the bleeding for the next few weeks. I should go back in if the bleeding gets worse, if I get severe cramping, or if there are blood clots. I have an appointment on the 27th, so till then, I just take it easy.

I am SO glad everything is okay, and that I had so many people praying for me and little sea monkey! IT WORKED! :)
