Pretending to be Italian

Today was my second cooking lesson with Jana.

Daniel LOVES Zuppa Toscana at Olive Garden. Even though it has a LOT of heavy whipping cream in it, he will still eat it; consequences be damned. I knew I had to learn how to make it. 

This is SURPRISINGLY easy to make. But it's kind of pricey for me.

The breadsticks! We made them from scratch and it was a really cool process to learn. Hard to make when a baby wants to be held though...

So darn yummy! OM NOM NOM!

We fried up some bacon for the top and it was SO AMAZING!!! Way better than the kind you get at Olive Garden.  

I took the leftovers home and they loved it too! 

I am becoming a good chef yet, or at least a good recipe follower...

  1. I am trying to figure out why it was so expensive. . . Must be a different recipe from what I use because mine is only about $10. Anyway you make it, it is worth it!!! :)
