The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever in the World.

These cookies...let me tell you about these cookies. They make the sun come out tomorrow. They make walls fall and flesh crawl! They make the very mountains crack, Jack!


(It's Halloween--Tim Burton references are needed.)

These cookies are going to blow your mind. 

My visiting teacher made them for me one day and everyone in the house ate the WHOLE heaping plate in a few hours. Of course I then begged her for the recipe. 

Because things that are earth-shattering should be shared - I now impart the recipe to you.

Heather Taylor's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe makes a lot, so cut it in half if you aren't feeding an army or self-soothing.

Ingredients: 

1 1/3 cup SOFT butter (not melted)
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs

^^ cream all this together then add:

2 tsp vanilla
3 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

mix all together

add chocolate chips, guittard chocolate chips are the best, 2 cups or so depending on how chocolatey you like them.

Instructions:

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls--pat the tops down a little--2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 7-10 minutes (9 is the best) @ 350* depending on the oven and how big you made your cookies.

Don't over bake, if anything, under bake a little. The heat from the cookies themselves will cook them a little bit more.

AND if you are feeling really cool, and not feeling the chocolate chips...

-Cut up large symphony bars and use the pieces instead. Don't make them too fine, but don't make it too chunky either. THEN LET THE SYMPHONY PLAY!!  See what I did there? ha!
