When Daniel left for Texas I struggled to be motivated even though my in-laws had a gym downstairs. I just didn't care. For some reason I didn't really gain anything, but I didn't lose anything either. When Daniel came home from Texas I gained two pounds that first week!!! That was a wake up call for me. I got back on the eat healthy train and have been on a slow weight decline since then.

But something awesome that did happen while I was there (outside of getting to 20 lbs lost) was that there was a pair of jeans I had that I couldn't even get over my thighs in October. On a whim, I tried them on--THEY FIT. And not only did they fit, they were even a little big!

Today these jeans are way too big and I officially have no pants that fit me. It's kind of ridiculous, but I guess in a good way? It's a great reason to have to go buy clothes, but still--I don't like spending a lot of money on myself. I'd rather spend it on my family or on Gracie or just save it. I've gotten myself to buy a few shirts but that's all I can get myself to do right now. Baby steps I guess. HA!

Since we have been in Georgia something crazy happened. I finally dipped & stayed in the 130's!!!

I am finally in the 130's and I honestly could cry.

As of a few days ago I am 136 lbs. That is THREE pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight and TWO pounds away from 30 pounds of total weight lost!! I am feeling pretty good and starting to finally notice a difference in my arms which is honestly my biggest struggle area because I have never had skinny arms. So I am happy to finally see a difference in them.

Truth be told, I haven't been doing a ton of exercise lately. But I have been unpacking our house and chasing after a rambunctious two year old, so I guess that's what has been working for me. But I have been eating good and really watching my calorie intake. Lean cuisine's have been a BIG help for me and 100 calorie snack packs. I have also been drinking a ridiculous amount of water. Kind of have to since we are in the hottest state freaking EVER. Ha!

I plan to start doing my exercise DVD's starting Monday again, and I've been looking for a good dance studio here so I can get back into dance. Great exercise and good for my soul!

I am honestly so proud of myself that I have come this far! I can't wait till I can say I am FINALLY at my pre-pregnancy weight. I am so dang close!

P.S. Kristen? Are you there? Ya, couldn't have done this without you girl.

  2. Holy cow, that's amazing! I've been wanting to lose the weight I gained coming home from peace corps. I've starting doing a bunch of daily fitness challenges and I've felt myself becoming stronger and it feels amazing. I'm excited to read more about your journey and what you've done to lose the weight. Also, you moved? It looks like maybe to Georgia?

Thanks for taking the time to say something back! :) One sided conversations are never any fun! :) Thanks for reading!
