Hi Five for Friday

I am so grateful it's finally Friday. This has been a pretty intense week in the Rice household. From my identity being stolen to Grace acting like a possessed demon child from the likes no one has ever seen...I am ready for Conference tomorrow.

\\ Conference is my favorite time(s) of the year. I love hearing the apostles and the Prophet speak. I always feel like there is at least one message that answers prayers and questions I have. I feel especially that way when President Uchtdorf speaks. He always says the exact thing I need to hear. His talk at Women's Conference this year blew my mind, and it was so simple! I implore you to read it! It's just an inspired time for us, and really grounds us back to what is important and what we should be focusing on. I am especially excited for tomorrow (the first sessions of General Conference) because for the first time, the speakers can speak in their native tongues. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? I am really pulling for Uchtdorf to speak in German.

\\ Daniel and I have decided to go on a no-spending month. Meaning we don't buy anything that's not a necessity. No fast food. Nothing that isn't on the grocery list. No excessive spending. Nothing we haven't budgeted for. The only exception is Gracie's costume and candy for Halloween, because we picked a month with a big holiday in it to do this. (Which I have previously budgeted for, including pumpkins.) We spent a little more than I would have liked in Utah in September, so I just want to build back up our savings and our checking account. Which unfortunately means not a lot of Halloween decorations, but if that means a fatter checking account I am good with that. Halloween isn't going anywhere.

\\ Incase you didn't read it elsewhere, our costumes this year are pretty awesome. Gracie is going to be Little Red Riding Hood and her trick or treat bag is a cute little wooden basket. I mean...too cute right? Daniel is going to be the Lumberjack, and I am going as the wolf with the granny in my belly. Pretty hysterical right? Can't wait for it, especially because I am making Gracie's costume. I have the design done, just need to make it! Daniel just needs a flannel shirt and a fake ax. I already have all black clothing and I just need some ears. I will paint my face and print off a picture of a granny to put on my pregnant belly. Easy, cheap and effective. :D

\\ I am finally starting to regain my energy after being wiped out at the beginning of my pregnancy. Thank GOSH. The house is clean, the laundry is done, and dinner is made. I feel like a useful human being now!

\\ I plan to start doing a "bump-date" soon. Probably after my next appointment on the 21st. I will be halfway at that point! But who knows, maybe I will start doing it sooner! I didn't do a lot of documenting with my pregnancy with Gracie, and I totally regret it.

Have a great weekend guys, make sure to tune into Conference if you want your mind completely blown!
