Bumpin' It Up || Week 22

Shirt: ModBod // Jacket: Forever 21 // Pants: Oh Baby! by Motherhood // Necklace: PinkBlush
Due Date | March 21st, 2015

Gender BOY!

Name | It's a secret! We have two names picked and we want to see him before we name him to see which one fits him better.

Size | 1 pound and is about 11 inches long according to the app. He is about the size of a spaghetti squash or an ear of corn. Which when I put an ear of corn up to my belly while I was in the grocery store the other day...that seems really big! Even though he is still really tiny.

Feeling | At my last doctor appointment this past Tuesday, we found out my blood count is stupid stupid low. So I have to take iron supplements on top of my pre-natals. I had severe anemia with Gracie but not until after 30 weeks, this is quite a bit earlier. When I was pregnant with her I was on SIX iron pills a day and my pre-natal. Luckily my levels went up at the last moment they could before I was admitted to the hospital. So now, we are starting with one a day and we will see how it goes. But because of that I get light-headed a lot, and I pass out if I am standing for too long. I have to always have a snack on me to make sure I have a recovery food. It's stinky. Hoping it goes away soon.

I have also been having mini asthma attacks. Which let me tell you, are super fun. My doctor has officially told me I cannot lay on my back as that's one of the main things causing the asthma attacks. My body just doesn't breathe well when I am pregnant and the bigger I get the worse it will get. So I have to make sure I carry my inhaler around with me and just be cautious.

OTHER THAN THAT, I am doing really well :)

Hormones | I am a cryer this week, I started crying yesterday on the way to the grocery store as I was listening to Where Were You (When the World Stop Turning) by Alan Jackson. It was intense. Then a few days ago I woke up from an afternoon nap in a complete rage spiral. I had NO idea why I was so angry, but boy howdy was I. It took a second to come out of it! Pregnancy hormones are no joke y'all!

Workouts | Until my blood levels out, I am not working out. I go on a 1.5 mile walk around my neighborhood every couple of days and I chase Grace around, but that's it for now.

Weight | +13 lbs. Not ridiculous, but alas, not where I wanted to be at this point. But I take GREAT solace in knowing most of it's in my chest. You are probably laughing, but if you saw them in real life you'd know I was serious.

Body | Is doing good! Round ligament pain is a killer but other than that

Clothing | I have a few pre-pregnancy shirts that still fit me, but I have a feeling that by 25-30 weeks I will be solely in maternity clothes.

Sleep | I still can't sleep well, just can't get comfortable!

Appetite | Is normal. I get random cravings here and there but that's it!

Nursery | We decided we aren't doing anything with his room till after Christmas. It's just too crazy around here until then. I will probably pack up toys and whatnot before then, but painting and organizing will come after Christmas. However, I do know exactly what I want to do now which is a big check off my list.

Missing | Our family in Utah, especially my grandma.

Fun Fact | The baby's heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope now :)

Best Moment of The Week | Gracie kissing and "hugging" her brother. She's really starting to get this baby thing, and most times she will agree that the baby is in my belly and not hers.

Next Apt. December 2nd for my glucose test and for 3D ultrasound! WOOHOO!

  1. Oh geez girl, I hope all of that iron stuff goes away soon. What a pain in the bootie. You look great though.. you are definitely glowing.

  2. If the iron is giving you any constipation issues you could try floradix. It's a natural iron supplement that doesn't have that side effect.

  3. Soo cute! That anemia would maybe freak me out a bit, but most things health related do :)
