She's Four!

You are four! How in the heck did that happen! These four years have been some of the most trying times but the most magical too. I have so many hopes and dreams for you, my little girl. I am so insanely blessed to call you mine, even if it's just for now--because as you constantly remind me, you're getting married someday.

You are the most independent and stubborn girl I know. We smack heads over what's best for you and you make your opinions KNOWN, that's for sure. But at the end of the day, you're quick to forgive and so am I and we are back to our world of make-believe.

Thank you for letting me into your magical world. You have such an amazing way of looking at things and you're capacity for make-believe is just cool. I love hearing about the ball you're attending, the Minnie's Bow Show you're doing, how Minimus and Sofia are flying around your room...all of the magical adventures you go on---thank you for letting me be a part of them.

Thank you for always wanting to spend time with me. I know that sometimes I am busy or frustrated with you, but my heart always warms when I hear "Mommy, can I play with you?" or "Mommy, can I help you?" I love having you be my little sidekick.

You LOVE to dance and I am so proud of how far you have come this year in your ballet lessons. You love music and it's great to see your face light up when you hear any type of music. I love to watch you dance, full of life and full of joy. It is when you are at your peak "Gracie".  I hope you always retain this deep of love for music.

You LOVE your baby brother. You will tell anyone who asks how much you love him, that he is YOUR baby brother. You are a Grade A helper and I so so so appreciate all the help you give me and Danny. He and I are so lucky!

When you love something, or someone, you love it/them with your whole being. You delve in head first and don't look back and then you want to learn everything you can about it/them. You're so much like me in that aspect. You love and care for everyone you meet and want to be friends with everyone you meet. It gets a little scary for mommy because you talk to strangers like they are your best friend. You're so trusting and loving. While I hope you always hold that capacity to love, I hope you eventually gain a little bit of caution.

Giiiirl. You and princesses. You know every song, every character. I don't even know how considering you haven't even seen all of the movies!! If I could pick one word about the past year to describe you it would be PRINCESS. This year your love really expanded and just BLEW UP. With some healthy (or unhealthy, depending on how you look at it!) enabling from Grandma, you own every princess thing ever ever made. YOU LOVE IT. It's cute to see you in all of your princess costumes and singing the princess songs. You're so girly and I LOVE IT!

You have a deep love of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. You are quick to tell anyone who asks about our savior and what he means to you. Your relationship with Jesus Christ will be the most important relationship you have in your life, I pray you always cherish it the way you do now.

There are so many parts of you that I could go on and on about. I love every tiny bit of you, even the stinky parts ;)

You are a glorious, wonderful, and perfectly made little girl and I am insanely grateful that I am your mother.

I make mistakes, I lose my patience, and I get tired a little too quickly these days. But I hope you never ever doubt how much you mean to me.

You ARE the stuff of MY dreams, Gracie. You truly are.
