Oh How I Love To See The Temple

Getting to the temple here in Georgia is basically impossible. The temples are 1.5-2.5 hours away. (Which I know is small potatoes in comparison to other locations!) But it is HARD to go to the temple when you WILL have to get a babysitter for at least 5 hours. Because if I am going to the temple and traveling that far--I am going to do an endowment session.

Can I ask a question--WHY DO THE TEMPLES NOT HAVE A CHILDCARE LOCATION!?! Seriously. That has got to be the #1 reason recommend holding people don't go. Just saying. Think about it Prophet Monson.

But while I was in Utah, I had my sister-in-law who would watch the kids for me so that I could go and in Utah a temple is on every corner. HOORAY.

I usually always go to the temple with my friend Shelly....who needs a post of her own. She was my first friend in Lehi. She never judged me when I was pregnant and was just a loving, sweet, and very caring friend to me. I can't tell you how much she means to me!

When we went to the new Provo City Temple (it used to be a tabernacle that burned down and it was converted into a temple. GORGEOUS by the way. Go see it!) the FIRE ALARMS went off during the endowment session. We legit had to evacuate the building. So here we are IN FULL TEMPLE GARB MY FRIENDS, evacuating outside. I know some where outside before the alarms turned off and we were told to go back in, but it wasn't many. I think that's a blessing because I know so many were very uncomfortable evacuating in full temple garb. It was definitely worth a journal entry!

One of the most amazing experiences I have had was my cousin Taylor asked me to be her escort through the temple as she got her endowments out. was so spiritual and so amazing and it was a good reminder of the day I took my own out. Such a special day that I will hold in my heart for always.

I won't be able to go to her wedding in September but man I am so proud of this girl. She is such a good example to me and I hope she gets everything she wants in life.

Each time I went to the temple, I wrote all of our names on the prayer roll. I said a few very specific prayers and felt the overwhelming peace you feel when you leave the temple. I wish I could always carry that peace with me, I know that I can, I just have to work on it.

I love to see the temple.
For the temple is a holy place
Where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I've learned this truth:
A fam'ly is forever.

  1. I don't know much about the Mormon religion, but I do know you all have GORGEOUS temples. Seriously!

  2. I was so happy to run into you at the temple and do lunch!!

Thanks for taking the time to say something back! :) One sided conversations are never any fun! :) Thanks for reading!
